Security alert after mail file design upgrade

In trying to customise the 8.0.1 mail template, we have updated a number of test users to the updated template using Design Replace and everything worked fine.

We tried to update a whole department by copying the template to the live servers and using ‘load convert’ and a text file of users mailboxes. This morning the users are getting a security alert, ‘no signature’, when accessing their calendar or to-dos. Incidentally, neither of these has had design elements changed.

If we manually roll back by ‘Design Replacing’ to the old template, then ‘Design Replacing’ back again, the problem clears. If we use ‘Load convert’ the problem comes back.

Looking at the design of upgraded mailboxes, all design elements are signed by the proper id which has full access in the users ecl. Accessing the Calendar or To Do list brings up the -no signature- error.

Anyone seen this before?

Subject: did you sign the whole template again?

in admin client, you have the option to sign the whole template (with yours or the server’s ID, and uncheck “update only existing…”.

I think after that the sec alert will be gone - nevertheless it sounds strange, but i remember a similar thing on my servers.

If you want to debug it, then you must localize the event/function, what triggers the sec alert.
