We have some company wide mailing lists set up within the PAB, and currently anyone and everyone can use these lists to send mail. We are currently on Domino 5.x. Does Domino 6.x have any functionality so that I can lock down who can use these mailing lists?

This isn’t going to be a solution loved by many here, but the quick, easy (and dirty) way to do this is to build reader fields into those group documents you want to restrict. You’ll then be responsible for keeping the reader fields current.
Of course this solution isn’t really a solution - it’s a dodge. However, it does work and I think it’s a realistic compromise to get you where you want to be.

So there’s no new built in solution for this in the new version of Domino? Would you like to explain further about the reader fields?
I’m really just checking to see if the new version of Domino has something built in.

Check the document properties box for the group documents you want to restrict. The securities tab will let you set who can see/use the group. As far as I know, in ND6 the router will also obey these restrictions unlike R5.
