Search multiple databases

We have a single Domino Server that does Mail, Web, and Applications. I have 5 applications/databases that I would like to create a search function for on the web with a single search bar. I have read up on Domain search and have played with it, but I seem to get results from all databases. This is for a public web site, so results from the 5 databases is all I want to appear.

Could someone please point me in the right direction on how to create a search for these 5 databases.

Thank You.

Subject: Try the catalog on the Domain index server

In the ‘old days’ you could use a “multi site search” database. The template for this is still shipped with Domino I think. This lets you build a search for specific databases, but will not index any attachments. The IBM knowledge based contains documents that tell you how to set this up and also the differences between this method and Domain Index to help you make an informed choice.

The other thing you can try is to check the catalog. I think it is possible to exclude databases from the domain index there, but I haven’t done this for a while so I would have to check.
