Search in WEB problem

Hi,

I’m having a strange behaviour with one server.

I have one customer where we want to upgrade 2 application servers from 5.08 to 6.5.x.

The first server we upgraded to a new machine about a month ago, and checked all applications. The problems with a few agents was solved, so we upgraded the server to production. After upgrade to 6.5.3 no problems was found BUT last week we have discovered that view search is not working. There is no default $$SearchTemplateDefault form in any application, we are using default domino search. Now, when we open any database using a notes client, search work as expected. When we open the same database on the web, search just doesn’t work. We get nothing on the server’s log, or any place else. The same database replicated or copied to the second server, release 5.08 have search in any situation.

This client is a place with very high security so I can’t take any database outside or even to my notebook, BUT I’ve copied one database working on my server, copied to there, and it doesn’t work there. If we try using a URL like http://server.domain.com/database.nsf/ViewName?SearchView&query=“something” we got the relatve documents.

As far as I can understand, the problem is isolated, and not related to the design and databases. Yesterday, I’ve upgraded the server to release 6.5.4, and the same behaviour.

Just to clarify, the databases are full text indexed. The FT was rebuild after upgrade, and rebuild again yesterday a few times. A new copy of the database on the same server doesn’t help, but in another server works. The same database on old server (5.0.8) have no problems. All databases was compacted and updated. A fresh 6.5.3 install and re-install, and a fresh 6.5.4 install are not working. The install was done with my CD, which was used to install a lot of servers and it works. The windows install on the machine is a windows 2003 server.

Any idea or any help will be appreciated.

Daniel
