Search function return incorrect result!

Dear all,

Really help in this!!!

Search function in lotus notes return incorrect result in R6.0.2. The search function works well in R5.0.2b.

For example, keyword “Malaysia” is input in the search bar, there is a list of documents returned. However, when you open the doucment, the highlighted words is not the word (“Malaysia” in this case) that you are searching.

Please advise if this is a version bug or any setting i can do to rectify this.

think its a problem with database index - you tried refresh /recreate the databases index?

Hi,

I have deleted and recreate the index but problem persists.

The search function can highlight correctly in R5.0.2b client but not in R6.0.2 and R6.5.

Please advise!!!

It works in 6.5 in every case and in other versions too. I know the problem with incoorect results and highlighting text some words away from a database with an invalid document inside. In this case we removed view indizes because the database size was growing out of control (replication problem). The solution was running fixup to remove the invalid doc and the indizes also worked. I dont think its the same problem but may be a fixup will help
