Scheduled agents and writing to mapped drives - permissions

Ola,

I have a schedule agent on a Domino server. It should create and write to a file on a mapped drive on another sever, (OS level). When the agent runs, via the schedule, it fails with a log error of “Operation is disallowed in this session”.

Allow restricted operations is checked for the agent.

If I manually run the agent on the server, it runs ok. My network user name has been given rights to write to that directory in question. My thought is that the system sees who I am, (from my network login) when I kick off the agent and allows me to write.

If this is the case, how would I set up permissions so the agent itself can write to that mapped drive via a schedule from a server?

A notes id signed the agent, and that’s what it runs with, but that’s in the world of notes. How do I give “that” permissions to write?

My guess is I have to give permissions to the process/service that the Domino runs as on the server to the mapped drive, that’s at the OS level. Does that sound right?

it seems to me you are using microsoft network. I am not an network admin person, but I have to ask my admin people to give permission so that one user id has access to a specific directory. I remember they told me they do that by running a microsoft admin utility.
