Hi All, I have problem wiht schedule agent. The code in the agent will save a file (excel) in the share/ mapped drive. When i run this agent manually it is working fine but when the agent run schdule it is showing error.
Do i need to consider any access related thing. When i run the agent manually i assume that it is using my machine login credentials to access the share/mapped dirve and where as when it is schdule it has problem? please provide your views.

Hi,
The first thing to check is that the user who signed the agent (i.e last saved it) is authorised in the server document to run restricted operations. If they are not they can not write to disk.
The other question is do you have the share maped on the server or are you trying to access it using a unc path? If you do not have it mapped, then the request to connect to it is made by the Windows user who started up Domino on the server. If you are running domino as a service this is the “system” user. Naturally that user has to be granted access to the share.
I have never quite figured out how to do that for the “system” user. One way round this is to have bat file that links to the share as a specific user / password and shell out to that .
