we upgraded our first server to Notes R6, and now we got the impression that Scanmail 2.60 is not working properly.
Does anybody know how to check if the scanner is actually working? The Databases are configured ok, but are there tasks we can check?
We installed the serever the way Lotus proposes, install into the old data-directory. But what is the correct way of getting Scanmail working again? We left the nsf-files in the directory and installed the current release of Scanmail ontop of them. This seems to have gone somehow wrong.
Anybody out there who knows what steps to do to upgrade Scanmail together with Domino?
1.) Is tmmscan in your Notes.ini.2.) Did you sign all the scanmail database with the server after upgrading?
3.) Do a Sh ta at the server console to see if Trend Mailscan is running. If not load tmmscan
4.) Is your server a unspecified manager of all scanmail databases?
I am sure you know more then me since I have not upgraded to version 2.6 yet. Just trying to help.
I also had to remove the following line from the notes.ini to make 2.5.1 work.
NSF_HOOKS=Virhook
Also when I went to version 2.5.1 I had to remove the scanmail files from the notes folder and delete the scanmail databases from the data folder. and removed scanmail from the regedit.
Hopefully that is not necessary when going to version 2.6.

I run nupdate every hour and have not had any connection problems, but I am glad to know your solution. That will be something for me to watch when I upgrade to version 2.6.
