SAX Parsing - operation failed

Hi All,I want to know how the sax parser works. I tried to use the sax parser to parse xml data.

The XMl data is in a rich text field and i want the parsed output in another field. I used the following code, but i get the error “SAX PArser operation failed”. Pls tell me where iam wrong

Dim saxParser As NotesSAXParser

Set saxParser=session.CreateSAXParser(rtitem, rtitem2)

call saxParser.process

rtitem is the rich text field which has the xml data and rtitem2 is the output field

Pls tell me how should i proceed

There are various possible explanations. Maybe either your rtitem or rtitem2 is not a valid NotesRichTextItem object. Maybe your XML is invalid. Maybe your rich text contains items that confuse the parser. I would suggest that you set up the error handlers that work with the SAX parser and see what they report.
