Saving and exporting emails

i am changing jobs and need to take all my emails with me, for reference.

i use lotus notes at work and at home i use outlook.

i don’t know what my new company uses but it would be useful to just have them at home - at least.

can i simply export the mailbox, save it on disk and then import it into outlook? or will this not be possible? if not, what’s the best way of doing it?

thanks

If you have access to you mailfile at home, you can import your mail from Lotus to Outlook if thats going to be your preferred method for emails or you can install Lotus Notes client on your home PC and copy your mailfile to the data folder.

Two separate issues are a) how to export the messages, and b) whether you are allowed to. Like it or not, contents of a business mailbox are the property of the business in most countries. Now, they may be fine with your taking it, but they a have a right to say “No”, and even to accuse you of stealing something if you try to take it without permission.
