I am tryinig to setup in notes, a way for a user to run and save a query, and then the user be enabled to select the folder to which they want the query saved.

Are we talking about a query in the search box of a view?
Do you want to move all the documents found by the query to a folder? Or to create a document that shows (in text) the query results and save that document to a folder?

I’m thinking you probably need some LotusScript to do that. I haven’t written anything like that. You’ll probably need to post again and spell out what you are trying to do. Maybe someone else has done it.
Or, for something that’s just once in a while, you might be able to use the search bar and then select the results and Edit>Copy as table and paste the results into your report document, which you then save in a table.
