I’m trying to save and close a document that will bring up anywhere between 1 and 4 secondary documents that will be using info from a field on the original document.
My problem is that either the secondary documents close right after they are opened, or the first doc is closed before the secondary docs are opened, and they cant access the field from the first. Oh yea, and my notes admin doesnt allow agents to run! Can someone help me?

Huh?!
Does your notes admin know of the ways in which he can limit agent activity to make sure they don’t compromise the server?
Anyway, any agent that you use to control the UI will run on the client so there’s no danger there anyway.
Perhaps you can use response documents to achieve what you need, it’s hard to tell, but if not then you’ll have to use LS.

Declare a global variable in the original Form (with which you are opening the original document)
In it’s query save, get your field’s content into that global variable.
In queryclose or postsave event of this form, write code to get those 1 to 4 secondary documents and open them and use the global variable to populate its value in those documents or whatever.
If you do not want to use global variable, you can access the value directly in those queryclose or postsave events of that form using Source.FieldGetText(“your field”) and use it to populate in any of those secondary docs.
