Hi All.
I am pretty confident Notes Designer, but just got asked an “Can this be done” question
Every Friday users access an intranet site and get weekly log details from this page.
It is always the same url
They want to have this web site saved automatically as a notes form/page etc… incase someone is away or forgets to access the site?
An agent would be the best way to do it, but i cannot think of anyway to execute it?
Any ideas to lead me in the right direction would be appreciated.
Cheers
Mike
Subject: Save a web site into a form automatically weekly via an agent
Not sure about saving in a form / page, but it is really easy to create a Notes document based on the contents of a specific URL.
The easiest approach is via a scheduled Java agent, there are a few examples in this forum you can copy and paste if you aren’t confident, but the following will get you started:

The biggest gotcha (depending on your organisation) may be finding a Domino server that can access the web! If you need to go via a Proxy the following additional lines of code may help:
System.putProperty(“http.proxyHost”,“xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx”);
System.putProperty(“http.proxyPort”,“1234”);
HTH - Rufus.

Used the java example that you directed me to
Works perfect
