Clients were upgraded from 6.5.4 to 8.5. Only 4 people have had this issue out of thousands. We go through the installation, specifically select the Sametime install and still, nothing in the sidebar, preferences or any trace of it. User had no problems in 6.5.4. Removed everything from PC that could have held cache, disabled roaming to prevent download of anything and completely removed and re-installed 8.5 with Sametime components. Still completely missing.
This is honestly just puzzling us to no end. Not a permissions thing as the software was installed without policies. User is not in any Sametime deny groups, all settings are correct (same as everyone else’s) but sametime is nowhere to be found.
Does anyone have any information or experience with this? It is getting to be quite a problem as the user really needs this working.
