We have upgraded a few clients to 6.5 in anticipation of testing the sametime integration.
Under our passport agreement we are entitled to 20 licenses. I completed the online form weeks ago and was told that it would be available week of 20 Oct. I check the download section of my passport area every day, but nothing!!!
Lotus -Please can I have my copy? We are very keen to evaluate this asap. I can’t believe that Lotus can’t get organised and react quicker.
There is not even an eval copy of Sametime (that I can find).
Subject: sametime - when?
As far as i know it can take upto 2 weeks AFTER 20 oktober.
FAQ on website says :
Q. What are the mechanics? How does a customer get access to the software?
A. Here are the steps:
-
Customers register on a website located on the IBM external web: https://www6.software.ibm.com/reg/domino65/domino65-i
-
On this website, they provide their customer and Passport Advantage agreement numbers.
-
IBM captures the registration, validates it, and entitles the customer to full production licenses of the Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing (Sametime) and WebSphere Portal Express software in our entitlement systems.
-
Within two weeks or less (starting October 20, 2003), the customer can then log onto the Passport Advantage site and access the software image and license.

Is probably to hard to give just a date AND release it on that date…

Anyway its free…
