Sametime Privacy List option greyed out

Hello-

I recently upgraded from Notes Client 6.5.4 to 8.0. I was told by our corporate admins that I would be able to use a privacy list with integrated IM, so that I would only be reachable by people who are on my white list. I had this feature in Samtetime client 7.1 as a separate install.

In Notes Client 8, however, the Privacy List option is greyed out on the Tools, Sametime menu. I would really like to use this feature and would be interested to know what to do to solve.

“Full” Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing licenses provide capabilities that add incremental value, but are not included in the

entitlement for Notes/Domino users. Examples of such capabilities

include:

  • Enjoy presence awareness and chat capabilities in a standalone Connect

Client, accessed from your taskbar, system tray, start menu or desktop

  • Edit nicknames for your contacts, sort your contact lists, and display

only those contacts that are online

  • Specify which individuals or groups can see if you are online through

privacy settings

  • Request alerts when an invitation or new message arrives, or when a

contact comes online or becomes active

  • Transfer files and save individual chat transcripts

  • Upgrade chats to Web conferences and utilize capabilities such as

screen and application sharing, whiteboarding and polling

  • Download additional toolkits that include APIs for chat logging and

integrating presence and IM into non-Domino applications, as well as the

resources to IM with Lotus or SIP communities outside of the firewal
