Is it True… lotus Sametime will be part of release 6.5 ???

Notes client is “sametime enabled”, that means u can see on your mail box (and incorporate this easily via 2 click in any apps !) if user is only, start a chat, view ur buddy list etc…

BUT TAKE CARE :

  • This require a Sametime server (and a licence)

  • Sametime currently needs a 6.02 domino server to run on (6.5 support later) : not a real pb anyway sametime server is better on a separated one.

GOOD NEWS IS :

There is a special promo : if u buy R6.5, you get 20 free sametime licence (and some portal ones too !) That makes this VERY attractive !

MY OPINION :

it’s now SO EASY to include sametime awareness on notes apps, it offers a VERY WIDE range of possibility to extend all our apps ! it’s really a KILLER feature ! Demo it to your customers, managers etc…and I promise they’ll love it !
