SameTime Basic Client not logging in

Using Version 8.01, no problems logging into SameTime. Upgrded to 8.5 and can no longer access SameTime. Using Collaboration Express License. SameTime Server running Domino 8.0

Subject: Problem at server end?

Is the Sametime server configured only to allow certain Sametime client versions to log in?

Subject: Sametime Client / Server Problem

I get a not authorized problem when trying to login with the Sametime embedded client in Notes 4.5 beta 2. We only have a server license for the embedded version - is the server configured wrong or is this Sametime version being seen as the standalone client?

Subject: Sametime Login with 8.5 Beta

I haven’t seen any resolution for this. I can log into sametime with the 8.0.2 client, but with the 8.5 Beta client version I get a “Unable to access Sametime. Please try again later message”.

We’re on sametime 7. Maybe I need to upgrade it to 8? I’ll try that first. Sorry, I thought we already were on 8. I’ll let you know if that works.

Nope, upgrading the Sametime version to 8 didn’t help. I still cannot login to the Sametime server with the Beta client. Still tells me Sametime is unavailable and to try later.

Any ideas? Sorry if I missed something in my searches for a resolution.
