Yesterday I thought I have found the fix for my problem - but it seems to be different.
Yesterday all seemed to be good with ST-Awareness, but when I booted my computer this morning I have seen, that my Awareness-Icons were gone again. So I have clicked File->Preferences->Sametime->Server Communities but I have been missing the little Triangle in front of “Server Communities” to see my Community.
Then I have closed the Preferences Window and opened again and the triangle was here!
Afterwards I have unchecked the box “Use canonical names for status lookup” on the options tab, saved my preferences and then checked the box again ==> only when doing these steps I will see the awareness Icons…
I have repeated the whole procedure the 5th time now and it has always been the same…
I will have my availability icons back, when I uncheck the setting “…use canonical names…” → apply and then check the setting.
Strange behaviour is, that in a Database with Mail (8.0(x)) template I always see the availability icons without doing the steps described above. In all other Databases (i. e Domino Directory on 8.02 template) I have to do the mentioned steps…
I’m seeing the same thing. I don’t have awareness in any Db after starting Notes until I go in and uncheck/check ‘use canonical names’. Then I can see awareness in only the mail Db, not the directory. When I restart Notes it goes back to no awareness in any Db.
Multiple people are seeing this in our organization. I tried using the abbreviated Notes name for the Sametime server in Location and Person doc but it didn’t help. We normally have the FQDN name in those fields.
