We have currently same time server(8.5) which sits on domino 8.5.1. Now we want to upgrade all the servers(mail,traveler,sametime) to 9.0. IF we upgrade the domino server to 9.0, will the sametime server work without issues?.

This really screwed me up. On the passport download site they have sametime listed as “IBM Sametime V8.5.2 for Notes/Domino V9.0 Social Edition Multiplatform”. Wouldn’t that suggest it works for 9.0? NOPE!..it won’t install.

Patrick. Broken symlinks isn’t a problem specific to Domino 9. This happens with any Domino upgrade that changes the installation folder (for example 8.5.2 to 8.5.3).

The article is written in german, but might still be helpful for you. You’ll run into problems with domino 9 and sametime 8.5.2(IFR1), because a lot of symlinks will be pointing to the old domino installation folder.
