Is there a way that a batch file can be written to allow call takers in a help desk environment to run the compact utility on a users mailfile? We get approximatly 4 to 8 calls a day and the notes admin’s have to do it. I was thinking if we could write a script that would allow them to run the file, then enter the name of the mail file it would run the compact utility without bothering the notes admins. Domino Server runs on a windows box, clients have full client but are editors of their mail file in order to keep them from deleting their mail file. Thank you

It can be done. Have a look at the help to find the correct syntax, but I know that you can invoke the compact tool from within a batch-file.
