Is it possible to use both R6 and R8 clients at the same time? If yes, Please tell me if any settings has to be changed.

Subject: Yes, you can.
Rename your Notes 6 client.
Install Notes 8 to a new folder.
Run Notes 8 using the typical shortcut.
Change your Notes 6 shortcut to point to nlnotes.exe, and start it after Notes 8.
Subject: Watch your registry settings !
I have dual 6 & 8 client, designer, admin clients on my machine. You need to make sure that the install directories for 6 are switched on your machin and that the regedit for them points there too. Otherwise, you will see contention.
