Hi All,
I wish to set up a Domino 8.5 test server in our Domino 8.02 environment as an additional server. It will be the only 8.5 server in the infrastructure. By including it in our 8.02 environment it will upgrade the Domino Directory to 8.5.
By upgrading the Domino Directory to 8.5, Will this cause a problem for the servers running 8.02. The Admin server will also remain as 8.02

Subject: Domino is backwards compatible
You shouldn’t experience any issues. You could always disable design replication for that server as well if you do not want to upgrade the design of the Domino directory for the domain.

I’m running the 8.5 Directory Template on 6.x, 7.x, 8.0x and 8.5x Servers in our Development Domains just fine…
