Rules not working right

Hello to all of you out there. I have a problem with rules in one users mail file. He created a rule to move mail from specified person to special folder. The rule is not working if the sender is from the same domino domain but working fine if the sender is from the internet. We have tried to use full common name and and internet addresses but it doesn’t matter, rules are not working for any mail coming from the domino domain.

The strangest thing is that the same rules in another mailboxes is working fine. The user with the broken rules have an editor access to his mail file and all checkboxes selected in ACL

Hello and thank you both for your responses, I have been trying what you suggested, but nothing is changing. I think my next step will be in reinstalling a clean version of Lotus Client to replace all files. I will let you know the result, have a nice weekend.

Mail rules are compiled and stored in the CalendarProfile. If afterwards a mail rule is manually altered, it could be that the old rule is still in the CalendarProfile.

Have a look in this profile using NotesPeek to make sure this is not the case.

Alternatively you could first copy the rules to some other location and then save the calendar proifle (so it should now have no rules at all) and add one rule at the time, to see if the error is not caused by another rule than you expect.

Are you sure that the sender field contains the string you are specifying in the Rule exactly? Can you at least try specifying something simple such as just the surname and see if that works?

Is the problem user set up to use the same local/server address books, etc. for lookup as other users without the problem?

Cheers,

Adrian
