I have gone through the postings and have tried what I found, but I am still having a problem. I apologize if this has actually been answered and I just missed it.
We have a client with the infamous ghost rule. The rule was not deleted, just disabled and continued to run. I created a temporary rule, enabled/disabled and that did not clear up the problem. I opened the database via Notespeek saw the rule in the Calendar Profile area and then proceeded to run two different agents that I found here. One to disable the rule and one to remove it. The rule is indeed gone, but it continues to run. I have recreated the rule and then changed the action and the client doesn’t recognize the change. I have run some maintenance on the database and have done a dbcache flush and a set rules on the server, just to be safe.
Is there another location where there may be a tag for this rule? Should I try copying the database in the hopes that the “corrupt” file will remain behind? I’m just grasping at straws. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
