So I was reading this unresolved topic:
That guy basically had the same problem. The problem is this:
You have an RTF with this text in it:
paragraph 1
paragraph 2
paragraph 3
and it renders in HTML as
paragraph 1
paragraph 2
paragraph 3
IGNORING THE FACT THAT R6/6.5 CAN’T RENDER WELL-FORMED TAGS AND GENERALLY MAKES A GROSS MOCKERY OF THE W3C HTML 4.01 SPEC, does anyone know why the first and second paragraphs get their ‘rogue’
and
tags?
What purpose do they serve, Lotus? I’ve given up trying to work out how to get rid of them - i’m reduced to producing some redundant computed-display-pass-through-HTML field/computed text to bypass the inherent, native HTML rendering. SOUND FAMILIAR, NOTES WEB DEVELOPERS?
Notes Web Development 101: “Yeah you override the whole thing by starting with a tag in your code because you don’t want any of the inbuilt stuff. Trust me.”
