I’m working with pushing the content of a very simple database to our intranet using RSS feed. The database contains a title, description and a text field that needs to be of type rich text so that users can insert images if they need to.
While this works ok when reading through an RSS reader, I’m having problems getting the rich text field/images pushed through to the xml feed. I need this cause our web programmer is just going to grab the content of the feed and present it in his own way on our intranet.
So again, for each document in the database, I need some sort of element in the XML that have an link pointing to the image(s) in the document.
Does anyone know how I can do this with the new 702 rss template? Sorry if it sounds like I have no idea what I’m talking about here - but that’s basically the truth New to RSS and XML stuff.
Thanks - it was useful, but didn’t solve my problem. Basically what I need to do is to get the entire rich text field into the rss feed. I tried to find a few examples to see if possible with notes, and went to edbrill.com (rss feed page). This page is based on the dominoblog template but it is an option for me to use this. If you go to http://www.edbrill.com/ebrill/edbrill.nsf/blog.rss in internet explorer (or hit CTRL-U in firefox) you’ll see a good example. For each “feed” there’s a field/section called content:encoded which lists the entire text in the document + link to images etc. This is what I need. Does anyone know how to do this?
I have tried the dominoblog template also, but cannot figure out how to get this right. If anyone knows, please help!!!
