Since upgrading several servers from 8.0.2 to 8.5 we have seen a problem with the router stopping when it encounters some/several/a few messages that cause a “Note item not found error”. We understand the cause of the error (we are sending some old messages to an archive via smtp), but have no idea why the router stops sending mail. The only thing we can do to get the router to work again is cut all the mail from the (3) mailbox files then issue ‘restart task router’. In a couple cases we’ve had to quit the server, delete the mailbox file(s) and then restart the server (so it creates a new mailbox).
Any ideas what might be happening with the router?
