After a coworker of mine and I upgraded several of our server to 6.5.4 FP2, we noticed our users would occassionally get delivery failure reports saying “cannot find route to host *****.com”.
My coworker realized that if he made an innocuous change to the configuration document of that server in the Domino Directory on that server, and then did a “tell router update config”, it would show the configuration being updated and then mail would route normally.
We downgraded those servers to 6.5.4 FP1 and did not notice the error for some time. However, today, the number of pending messages on our BlackBerry server was increasing greatly. To us, it appeared that all services were running normally and that nothing was wrong. For fun, I did the config document change and router update and all the messages started routing properly.
Has anyone running 6.5.4 FP1 or FP2 noticed this problem? I can’t see any fix for it in the fix list for 6.5.5, though I may have missed it. IBM is aware of the issue we’ve been having and is looking into it.
