I have seen many posts on the 4/5 forum but none here.
I can send mail thru the internet from my mail files but it does not work on agents. This used to work on 5.0.11 but will not run on 6.0.2.
I have tries signing the agent with every id we have but all give the same problem hence we are unable to send out any automated mail.
Can somebody please help?

someone might be able to help you if you gave some more info on your problem (e.g., agent code, agent properties).
I have successfully written server-based agents which automatically send email from R6 servers to internet addresses.
The only thing I had to take a closer look on was the name of the sender as it gets displayed at the receivers side, as I didn’t want to have “serverx@mydomain.com”, but a generic “info@mydomain.com” being the sender. This did finally work too, but in general there was no other problem showing up.
