In the rooms and reservations app, the person reserving the room is getting a reminder every day.
Since this is a weekly meeting, they only need a single reminder the day before the event.
In fact, I’d like to set it such that for any reservation, only one reminder gets sent the day before.
possible?

You can achieve it by two ways.
You can run a daily scheduled agent everyday by comparing the room booking date with current day+one day date and send the mail.
Create aview with selection criteria as booking day=@adjust(@today;0;0;1;0;0;0) and run daily scheduled agent on all the documents in the view.

That solves the problem of sending out a notification the day before an event but does not eliminate the repetitive emails sent daily before the event.
The notification message is in the “ResourceStrings” script library which is called by the autoreminder agent which runs daily.
I need to figure out how to modify the autoreminder agent so that it only sends the message the day before the event and on no other days leading up,
