Room reservations and repeats

Hi guys and gals,

I have a resource res database based on the standard R6 template. It’s configured for autoprocessing. In the “List Names” field there is just administrators and a PA. In the “Owners” field there is the same PA plus another.

Users are able to book single meetings without any problems. Their request gets sent to the owners who approve it and the calendar gets updated.

If a user wants to book a repeat meeting, the request still gets sent to the owners but when they approve, nothing happens - it doesn’t get entered into the res database.

PA number 1 is able to book repeats.

In the “List names” field, do I need to have a wildcard or company group to enable people to do this and if so, why is it different for repeats?

Thanks for any light you can shed,

Emma.

Subject: More info - Room reservations and repeats

After testing and reading an old KB article, I’ve found that a user needs to go into the room res database and manually create a repeat booking for the room/resource they want to book. This goes for approval and when accepted, is entered into the room res calendar. They then need to separately book the meeting in their own calendar.

If they do it the other way round and book a meeting in their own calendar and select a room/resource from within the invite they’re creating, a room/resource request gets submitted but when this is approved, it doesn’t appear in the room res calendar.

Is this just the way it has to be for repeat bookings?

Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Emma.
