Roaming User - Stuck on "In Progress"

I am trying to set myself up as a roaming notes user.

I have set the process going via Administrator, I get the message on my client to say that I am getting upgraded. I click yes to all the answers. The replicas of bookmarks, names and journal all replicate correctly and there are no errors on the servers (the Admin server and my mail server) and there are no errors in the Amin Process databases.

My person document in the directory simply sits at “Can Roam: In Progress”.

How do I get it to go from In Progress to Yes?

EDIT Please note that at the moment, my own client setup is set as a single user install, however I have tried the same setup with a notes client set to multiple users and didn’t get any further

David,

I’ve had this before on some of our users.

In our case it was related to either a user being in an incorrect Policy Group.

OR…

Other times all I did, from the users machine was to manually initiate replication (Once the replicas had been created on the users home serer) - it seemed to kick the process into life - I have no idea why but it worked for me.

Still no luck. The Administration server is different to my mail server, however when my client creates the replicas of my files on my home server, it sets the admin server of those databases to be my home server (itself), whereas the admin server for the directory is a different server. Is this normal?

Looking in the Admin process database, the last action to do with roaming stated that the server was:

Monitor Roaming User’s Replica Stubs

and has gone no further. It has the little lightning bolt next to it, but doesn’t show a processed icon.

Does anyone know why it wouldn’t go any further?

I finally fixed it.

I replicated the admin request dbs between the admin server and my home mailserver. Once I did that, and the adminp ran again, I became a fully roaming user.
