We have 100 users, who share 50 machines, all with email. We use Windows 2000 pro, logging onto a Windows 2000 server/domain. I’m trying to setup Notes so any user can logon to any machine and have their own desktop with email. I’m having a little difficulty configuring Notes, I’ve installed it as multi-user, then configured the user with the ID file. However when i shut down, then logon to another machine as the user, I have to configure the user again. I think its because Notes stores the configuration information in “C:\Documents and Settings%username%\Local Settings\Application Data” however this directory is not syncronised with the user profile. It would be better if Notes stored its configuation info in “C:\Documents and Settings%username%\Application Data” so it was part of the profile.
Is there anyway of getting Notes to work with Roaming profiles?

Have you actually set-up the users in the directory as “Roaming Users”?

If you mean the Active Directory, yes, I have setup the users, currently 2 test users, to have roaming capability, I have tested the profiles by changing the desktop wallpaper, or adding an icon then logging on to another machine. I’ve read a few other topics on roaming profiles & Notes R6, and I think I have to enable roaming for the user from the domino server, trouble is we don’t have access to our domino server, its administered centrally from europe! I think I’ll have to email them and explain what I’m doing.Some people say there are registry changes to get Notes to look at “C:\Documents and Settings%username%\Application Data” rather than the “Local Settings” another says there is a reg change to make Windows update the profile with the contents of Local Settings.

I mean the Domino Directory, users must be assigned a Roaming user profile, don’t get confused between NT Roaming and Notes.
