Roaming In Progress, not completing

Hello, I upgraded my client to roaming but it’s always hanging as “In Progress” on my person’s record in the nab.

Added debug statements in the notes.ini and here’s what it produced :

Subject: Roaming enablement

The logs indicate that you may have started your roaming enablement on another workstation, and the roaming enablement on that first machine has not completed.

Can you confirm that you started your roaming enablement on another workstation? If so, there are a few thing you can do.

Let the roaming enablement complete on the other workstation.

Launch the other client and allow the enablement to complete

If you don’t have access to that workstation.

Disable roaming for yourself via the administration client, and then re-enable roaming. (after disabling roaming via the administration client, launch one of your notes clients, and wait to be notified that you are no longer enabled for roaming)

Allow the upgrade to complete on the workstation you are using now.

Subject: Roaming enablement

I tried that a couple of times, but didn’t help.I got the notification that I was no longer enbled for roaming, tried to roam again, no success.

This is what I did now :

  • I created a new mailfile on the server and have put this new mailfile in my person doc in the nab.

  • Restarted my client, and I got immediately the pop-up if I wanted to upgrade to roaming user.

  • Let the complete admin process finishing until the roaming mark in the nab was there again.

  • Set my original mail file back into the person record.

So, the blocking factor should have been some flag or setting in my original mailfile.

When roaming setup was ok, the debug file looked as follows :

Subject: Agent which can delete the “roamig lock”

There exist an LotusScript Agent which can delete the profile document in the mailfile from the user. Check out the following URL:
