I recently upgraded 2 Domino servers from 6.5. to 8.5: Win 2003 (Admin server) and another on an iSeries.
At present, I only have one noticable issue:
The RnRMgr task seems to be sending out repeated emails to a Resource owner indicating they need to accept a meeting, but the meeting has been accepted. The meeting was created from the requestors calendar, not directly in the Resource DB. The resource DB template is at the latest release.
Anyone seen anything similar?
As a side note, but on a similar tack:
Not sure whether this worked as intended…any “historical” reservations that required authorization (but for whatever reason never got authorised) once I did the upgrade and turned on the RnRMgr task, the Resource owners started receiving daily emails indicating approval was required…even though these meetings are older than todays date.
If this is working as intended, it should probably be something to check prior to turning on the RnRMgr task…I had a load of emails go out, which confused a lot of users.
Thanks in advance,
Nick
Subject: Check your Agents
This posting rang a bell so I went and looked and we did get a report of this long ago. After a lot of Q&A we discovered that Purge Documents (Auto) Agent was not enabled.
There are 4 “system” Agents that R&R relies on currently and they are NOT enabled by default in the shipping template although some of us wish we did. In any case, I would suggest that you recheck your R&R installation.
The 4 R&R agents need to be enabled with an ID that has Agent execution rights on the R&R server. Otherwise they wont run as expected and R&R will not function as nicely as it should.
While you are in there, make sure you set the Administration server to be the “Home Server” of the R&R dB (even if you are not currently clustered).

Subject: Thanks…
Bruce,
You’re right, the agents were not enabled. The ACL Admin server was ok.
If you happen across this post again: if the agents were not enabled, what has been sending out the email reminders, some process within the RnRMgr?
Thanks again for your help,
Nick
Subject: You’re welcome and…
The RnRMgr is responsible for sending out Waiting for Approval notices to room owners on a regular basis. That way owners who get busy are more likely to go and Accept / Decline the request rather than just let it sit there. After all if you cannot have the room at the time you need it, you may need to reschedule…
