I have a web based search query. The query form, the $$Viewtemplate to format the results - save options 0.
I have checked to make sure docs are not being created by queries, they are not. Allow public access=yes.
Problem: in order for the query to return the results minimum access must be set to author - create documents. Reader alone is not enough to run the query.
Who can read and use the search view - all readers and above…
We’d like to disable create documents rights on this database for other reasons, but the web query won’t run without author/create doc access.
Is this standard or something specific to our environment? It doesn’t seem right to me.
Here is my $$Return Query Code which shoul display rsults on screen not requiring the rights to create documents right?
DBName := @Subset(@DbName; -1);
Q1 := “[/”+DBName+“/SearchData/?SearchView&Query=” +“field+fname+contains+”+query_first + “&SearchOrder=4&SearchFuzzy=True&SearchWV=True” + “]”;
Q2 := “[/”+DBName+“/SearchData/?SearchView&Query=” +“field+name+contains+”+query_last+“&SearchOrder=4&SearchFuzzy=True&SearchWV=True” + “]”;
Q3 := “[/”+DBName+“/SearchData/?SearchView&Query=” +“field+Department+contains+”+query_dept+“&SearchOrder=4&SearchFuzzy=True&SearchWV=True” + “]”;
@If(query_first !=“”;Q1;
@If(query_last !=“”;Q2;Q3))
