I have a Java agent that picks up Notes docs.I am able to get Rich Text Fields no worries, however when I attempt to put the data back down onto a PDF or MS Word doc, I loose all of the formating that was on the Notes doc.
By Format I mean, Bolds, Text Colors and so on.
Does anyone know what I would need to do to keep the formating?

The rich text has to be converted to something else to allow use outside of Notes. The most obvious candidate is HTML/XHTML, which can be used by Word or converted to PDF. Getting the rich text value in HTML is the challenge. It can be done by using the HTTP task, or by using a third party product such as our @Midas Formulas, which can be called easily from Java, or it can be done by using the C API and writing an extension that is callable from Java.
