After enabling SSL on one of our 8.5.1 servers the rich text controls fail to load properly and display the error message “Navigation to the webpage was cancelled”. Has anyone else seen this error? It is only happening on the servers that have been upgraded from 8.5 to 8.5.1. I know the dojo update could have something to do with the problem. If this is a known issue please let me know. Using the rich text control is a very important part of our development stages and we need this feature to work with SSL.
Note: This issue only appears when using IE8 not IE7. I am looking at IE8 settings right now.
My certificate is trusted and hasn’t expired yet (from Thawte). I started putting Dojo 1.4.1 on the server, but it is missing all the IBM JavaScript that the default Dojo libraries contain. I assume the IBM folder that it is missing contains all the Domino specific JavaScript functionality that is needed for XPages to work properly. Has anyone successfully upgraded their version of Dojo on their Domino Server?
Works fine in IE 7 but not in IE8. “Navigation to the web page is cancelled” is displayed in the rich text “skin”. Certificate is trusted and site is trusted site.
Subject: I reported this to IBM, and they provided a fix within 48 hours.
They sent me a new dojo zip file (with the extra IBM folders you need), and I just added it to the server next to the current dojo package and all is now fine with rich text editing in IE8. I had tried just downloading the latest dojo from the dojo site, but that is missing the IBM folders, so that didn’t fix it.
I was told by IBM that upgrading dojo for 8.5.1 would solve the issue but you would be on your own. They did not provide me with any files or links. Upgrading dojo would be like voiding the warranty on you car because you added an unapproved aftermarket part. We will be waiting until 8.5.2.
I would very much like a public link to the zip file they sent you before telling people to wait for 8.5.2. It is either get this working in xPages or look for another solution, waiting is not an option.
