RFC822 fields with hyphens in their name

Hi.

I’m desperately trying to handle RFC822 fields with formulas.

Specifically, I want to check the value of the X-Spam-Status Internet mail header and adjust a view column value accordingly.

Here’s the problem.

When a new mail arrives to the router and its headers have hyphens in their name, the corresponding Notes fields have hyphens translated to underscores, presumably so that they don’t end-up with invalid names.

So X-Spam-Status becomes X_Spam_Status.

This results in a somewhat broken field formula-wise, which does appear in @DocFields, but cannot be accessed in any way.

@IsAvailable(X_Spam_Status) does not work, even @GetField(“X_Spam_Status”) does not work.

Checking whether the field exists with @DocFields=“X_Spam_Status” is all I can do.

Does this sound like a known issue ?

Is it fixed (or not yet broken) in a newer/older release (running 6.5.5 FP1/FP2) ?

Is there anything I can do (other than duplicate the field in a new one with LS) ?

TIA,

Nicolas.

Well, I ended up setting the SUMMARY flag on this field with a “before new mail arrives” agent, as discussed somewhere else on the forum.I guess this is a bug, and every RFC822 header should just be flagged as SUMMARY by default. SIGH
