I have a web form with a $$Return field which displays a confirmation page when the form is submitted. On the confirmation page, the user clicks the Return to Document link to reopen the submitted document. However, I would like a short time delay between the time the link is clicked until the document actually opens. How would I revise the $$Return code below to include the time delay?

<body bgcolor="ffffff"><ALIGN=left>Your information has been submitted.
To print the information, click below to return to the document and then click the Print button. To add additional information, click below to return to the document and then click the link at the top of the page.
The best way to do this (the only one that comes to mind) is to direct to an actual page or form with the link on it to return to the document. The link would be modified to run a javascript function that has the delay function in it. Once that function runs, then the calling js function would open the document.
Having said all of that, why do you want the delay? What will be occurring while the delay happens?
Our web site goes through a webseal and load balancer, and we also have two clustered web servers that also use replication. A form may be submitted on one server, but then when clicking the link to return to the document in edit mode, the load balancer may direct it to the other server. But if the submitted document has not yet replicated to that server, the “page cannot be displayed” error occurs. I’m wanting to add a timer to give the page time to replicate to both servers before trying to reopen the document.
