In Lotus Domino, a System Administrator can create a server based mail rule which specifies that when the condition “Form IS Return Receipt” a particular action be performed (whatever action is needed).
However, in Lotus Notes, end-users do not have the same option of “Form” listed in their available mail rule “conditions”.
As a result, end-users cannot write a mail rule which would identify and then divert a Lotus Notes Return Receipt message to a particular folder or whatever other action they want performed.
Subject and/or Body and Subject rules pertaining to Return Receipt do not work.
Ironically, Lotus Notes end-users can write a Lotus Notes mail rule that deals with return receipts from messages which were opened by an Outlook user (subject includes “Read:”), but can’t write a mail rule that can identify a message opened by a Lotus Notes user.
Any suggestions on how others might be able to do this? I’ve checked this forum, but only found others with the same issue, but no solutions.
Perhaps IBM can add the mail rule “Form” condition to future Lotus Notes releases?
Thanks.
