There is a view which contains date,closing balance and opening balance columns.Datas are arranged according to the date.What we are trying to do is get the closing balance amount on the main form as the opening balance for the next day.If there is no transaction the opening balance in the main form will display the value 0. could you send us some solution for this

Not sure which bit you are having problems with, but the following code should get you started. It should lookup a date in a view and put one of the column values in a field if a match is found.
Set dateToFind = New NotesDateTime(…)
Set notesViewEntry = notesView.GetEntryByKey( dateToFind.lsLocaltime, true )
If NotesViewEntry is Nothing then
doc.openingBalance = 0
else
doc.openingBalance.ColumnValues(2)
End If
You’ll obviously need to set the variables where appropriate and provide a date and possibly change the columnvalues index to match your view column.
