Is there a way to make group everyone available to certain users only? The option I have found so far is messy. A user can still see the group and select it from the Domino Directory and and when they send the message they get an error that the group was not found. I need a cleaner solution. Any ideas

How about adding a Readers field to the Group form with the name of a new role in the ACL?
How are you doing it now?

Subject: Ahh.
Performance wise, reader fields in large databases that are frequently used are not to be done lightly.
Especially in the directory.
Whilst it may deliver this solution, in very large environments it may cause some performance issues.
(In large environments in the past that I’ve been involved in, this option usually isnt the one thats taken)
Another solution - if its a mailing group that you want to restrict usage of, would be to point that group at a database which then evaluated if that person was a valid originator for mail for that group. (A fairly standard “internet mail list” feature - and one that someone out there must have done).
[I dont want to come over all “Ohh - you dont want to do that son” - but if you do go down the route of reader fields in the NAB - test it first.]
