Restricting inbound SMTP mail to users listed in the Domino Directory & Directory Assistance

Hello,we use dir assistance:

show xdir

DomainName DirectoryType ClientProtocol Replica/LDAP Server

1 DOMAINPL Primary-Notes Notes & LDAP names.nsf

2 DOMAINRUSSIA Secondary-Notes Notes NAB\rusnames.nsf

We set:

“Verify that local domain recipients exist in the Domino Directory”

For primary domain all works ok:

2010-12-07 21:36:47 SMTP Server [08F4:000A-144C] 550 jan_kowalski@domain.pl… No such user

2010-12-07 21:38:26 SMTP Server [1534:000A-11F8] 550 4ff@domain.pl… No such user

user lookup for secondary domain seems not to be done

[10B0:003D-0E34] R: RCPT TO: myshlyaevanimx@domain.ru

2010-12-07 22:03:34,16 [10B0:003D-0FA4] SMTP CITask StateMachine> Sent 45 bytes to 127.0.0.1

[10B0:003D-0FA4] S: 250 myshlyaevanimx@domain.ru… Recipient OK

We have defined second domain (domain.ru) in Global Domain document, I also tried creation of separate global domain document.

Plenty of those emails are received.

Any help would be appreciated

regards

Subject: Configuration Settings

This is just a guess. Open your configuration document and go to the Router/SMTP tab. Then go to Advanced tab, and finally, the controls tab.

To the right, under the additional controls section there is a field, " Restrict name lookups to primary directory only"

If this is enabled, disable this, restart Router and SMTP and test.

Good Luck
