I’m aware of the proceedure to restrict users from emailing a group in the DD. Security tab, uncheck readers, etc.
I thought that once this was done, the router should reject messages that are sent to the group. However, that is not what I am experiencing.
From an iNotes client, if I try and send mail to a group that should be restricted, I first of all receive a message stating that the name is not found in the name and address book, this is as expected.
However, there is a button that says “Send Anyway”. If the user clicks this the email is sent, and is delivered to all the members of the group. This is not desirable, and is not what I expected. I was led to believe that the server router should bounce the email in this situation, and send an NDR to the originator.
Have I misinterpreted the functionality, or is there something wrong with my system?
