I accidentally deleted an Address Book entry for a user in the NAB. How do I recreate it, the mail file still exists?

I believe if you deleted the entry then you deleted the person and their certificates also. Therefore you will need to recreate the account. Don’t create a new mail file for them, after you’ve recreated them put that mail file in the entry.

If you have the address book backed up. Just restore the address book somewhere local. Open up the backed up copy, copy the deleted person document, open the existing, working NAB and paste it in there.
I have done that in the past and it works just fine.

If all else fails, just re-create the person, using “None” as the mail option. You can preserve the existing user ID by pasting in the public key from the existing ID file (have the user export the public key from the Security → User Security dialog), then you can discard the newly-created ID file. You can then manually point the mail fields on the Person document to the existing mail database.
