I need to restore a response doc from backup nsf file. Is there anyway to keep existing parent-child relationship? Will that CopyAllItems method help me?

The response document already contains the needed data in its $REF item.

The nsf file was restored from tape backup to a different folder and manually copied n pasted the response docs in the production and worked perfectly. Note: But while pasting if the pointer/selector points to different, other than the real parent doc, becomes child of that other doc.

How are you “restoring?” Tape backup, a replica of the database? Or is it a copy?
