HelloWe have one very old user id file which password no one knows? Is there a way to restore password.
Extract recovery password doesn’t work since the id file is not associated with any Notes client so I cant get to the recover password prompt in the workstation. Hope you get the picture.
Thanks

Subject: Restore password - Associate with client
You can associate the old id with an existing notes client. Copy the id to a client where a user is already setup.
Create a new LAN type location document for the old user and configure it propery including mail. name it after the user to differentiate it from any other location documents. In the advanced tab, click the id to switch to and browse to include the old id.
Save the location document.
Close the client and start again. Do not enter a password but select the location of the user tou created in the last step.
You will get a prompt to enter the password.
You are now able to proceed with password recovery.
Have a nice time.

Hi,
Maybe you can re-certify the ID and enter a new password.
