One of the management at my organization was explaining how we used to have functionality where if you tried to book a resource that was already booked for a certain time, it would send a rejection notice, or otherwise notify you that the resource was unavailable for that time, instead of having to go to its calender and checking manually. I can’t find any information regarding this online, but would like to re-implement it on our new domino 8 setup. Looking at our setup, i have a sneaking suspicion that our busytime database may still be the domino 6 format, which is before the rnrmgr changes that came with 7, could that the problem?
Yes,If you haven’t already upgraded the template, please do so and restart the rnrmgr task. If you are still on the R6 template, this will be the cause of the problem.
Also, If you have any customization in the R6 template, please remove it before upgrading.
By default, the resource database will send decline notices to the person attempting to book the room if the room is already booked. If the database is still allowing rooms to be booked when busy, there may be a problem with your busytime/clubusy database(s).
